The Vault now works correctly when players open melee, then switch to Components in the menu.The challenge “Weekly: Darkness Falls” now appears correctly in the Path To Glory > Weekly challenge category.(New Dawn, Dark Passage & Hope Shattered) Corrected challenges that were incorrectly named menus.Fixed an issue that prevented some players from making purchases in the seasonal or featured stores.Fixed an issue allowing players to craft items when Vault space is full.Fixed an issue causing the player to be warned of hitting the Vault space limit too soon.Once the junk tab is full, no items can be junked until others are marked to keep or salvage. The current item count out of 200 on the junk tab is displayed near the inventory count in the lower-left corner of the Vault. Because of the increase in inventory size to 350, the Vault’s junk tab is now limited to 200 items.

Dailey seemed passionate about the project but now even he’s gone, needed for a much more high-profile job. Anthem does not seem on track for a No Man’s Sky-like turnaround, given that it has released zero substantive content updates since all this started, and absolutely does not have the entire studio focused on its redemption like Hello Games was with NMS. I never really understood why A) BioWare was bothering to continue to invest in Anthem and B) if they were doing it, why they were tasking such a tiny team with the job. Looking ahead, we only have Outriders still to come that we know about, and it’s unclear how that’s going to go. Marvel’s Avengers launched with similar issues to Anthem, and there’s a certain PS5 launch game I made a New Year’s resolution to stop ripping on that I will not name here, but it’s probably the worst entry in the genre. Destiny 2 and Warframe are the healthiest, and it seems impossible to catch them. Borderlands 3 and The Division 2 seem to be mostly winding down. The looter genre is in a tight spot these days with barely any room for new competitors, with so many trying and failing.

And now that next-gen consoles are here, it would need a massive upgrade for those systems as well. We have no idea who is leading it after Dailey’s departure, a timetable of when it might get here, or what form it might take, an expansion, a true sequel, a giant patch, paid or free? No indications at all. Today, we have literally zero idea what the state of the Anthem reboot is, other than the nebulous idea that it has not been publicly cancelled yet.
